This is Fenwick. He is named after my neighbours who know that I have an aversion to garden gnomes, and decided to sneak him into the front garden one night last week. I think wine may have been involved. Very funny guys. I've faced him towards your place so you can chuckle every time you drive in. Just wait till you get your garden started. I'll come up with something suitable for payback. (rubs hands together and looks evil).

You can't hide - the garden kitsch will find you eventually! I'm the reluctant owner of a gnome, named Gimley by my 13 year old next door neighbour, and a cringeworthy wheelbarrow of flowers has ensconced itself in the Side Garden.
I'm looking forward to reading about the creative garden payback!
Hi CGL. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Did you show CCM the 'stache in the post before this one?
I did and he's got tache envy! The longest he's gone before I've threatened stealth trimming while he sleeps is four months. My hat is off to your wife!
Hi Paul, I got a good chuckle out of this post. I quite like gnomes myself and believe every garden should have one. Funny though, I never thought about it before, the way every gnome is male and very hirsute. Thank you for your comments in my blog. cheers, catmint
Welcome Catmint, and thank you too. I couldn't bring myself to buy a gnome, but I also can't bear to dispose of him. Imogen has fallen in love with the idea. So it looks as if he stays.
